Party at the ZOO!

Last week, I took my practical hair test (and PASSED...whoot whoot) and my mom came to watch Dane while I took my test.  Well it just so happened that my sis in law from WA was coming to Utah with her kiddos to visit her sister in Logan.  So the kids came with my mom for a few days and then we met up at the Zoo!  The weather was perfect...a little over cast, sprinkled here and there.

Dane was such a good boy since we went during his nap time!  Dane loved it all...he would always point and say "Whas that?"
The zoo is kinda hilly and I had a hard time pushing Dane sometimes so my mom and Vy got behinds me to help push 50 pounds up the hill!  It helped a lot!
 All the kiddos!
Thanks Buff for meeting up with us!!  It was so good to hang out with you guys for the afternoon.  Can't wait for next time!!
P.S.  Thanks for taking the pictures !! :)

4th of July

We had such a fun 4th of July!  We decided to stay home since it was in the middle of the week.  So we went with our friends the Liddles up to Park City and rode the Alpine slides!  That was so much fun.  I think I did it when I was little but I don't remember.  There were no lines and the weather was perfect!!!

Here we are riding up on the lift.  (Yes I did cut Brents face off...opps!)  I was kinda scared because Dane wouldn't sit still and I'm a pansy of heights since I've gotten older.

Getting ready to go down the slide!  Dane LOVED it...the lady let me and Brent go at the same time and I could hear Dane going "Ahhhh" and giggling!  We then went out to lunch and hit up the out let malls for some good sales!

Later that evening we had a BBQ and turned on the sprinklers and Dane ran through them and loved it.  He was dry within 10 mins.
Then he was practicing his golfing skills!  We met up with the Gamblings & Liddles for the Stadium of Fire fireworks!  It was super fun...Dane did really good since he only had a 20 min nap that day but he loved the fireworks.  They would stop for a minute and he would say "Mo?"

Summer Fun...

We have been having a fun summer!!  Lots of otter pops, swim lessons, 7 Peaks, playing with friends & helping mom with the laundry!

Dane has a slight obsession with the dryer!!

Memorial Weekend

Over Memorial weekend we got to go to St. George with my mom and Steve and my brother and his family from WA.  We had such a great time!!  Lots of laughing, eating, late nights, tv watching, swimming, game playing, shopping, Sonic runs, playing at the play ground!

 Nice splits Bo!

 "Bo, look at the plane!"

 Cartoon watching on Grams bed!
 "What??"

We had so much fun and can't wait for our next vacation!!!

Get-a-way

A few weeks ago my mom and Steve went to St. George for a few days during the week and we decided we would go.  With Brent working longer hours during the summer...why not!  So we packed our bags and were on our way.  Dane LOVES St. George...he was just so happy and hyper when we got there.  He loves that he gets to sleep on a full size bed.  He does really good too...he only got up once after I put him down and knocked on the door and cried for 20 seconds and then went and crawled back into bed and fell asleep. (Guess that means its time for him to transition to a big boy bed)!  It was pretty chilled, lots of Sonic runs and playing in the sun!!

Smile

Dane is getting the SMILE phrase down (well only when he wants to)!  This picture seriously make me laugh!

I think Dane will have his mamma's baking touch.  He LOVES to help me bake cookies.  Favorite part...getting to taste the spatula!!

Mothers Day

We ended up going to Idaho for Mothers Day weekend due to Brent having to work up there.  So it worked out perfect.  We got to spend the weekend with our Mothers and celebrate that special day.  Dane also got to go for a four wheeler ride with Brent and some how found the water and went to town playing in it and making a mess!
Aren't they just so cute...this is my favorite picture!!  (Brent got to go and help move water when he was home!)

Then we got to go golfing with my mom and Steve.  Haha Dane is so observant, it only took him a second to figure out how to make the golf cart go and he took off while Brent was teeing up.  Luckily I was in the cart with him still.  After that we started to take the key out if we were both going to be gone.  We went to church at my mom's ward and I went and took Dane to nursery.  The leaders were so nice, they had a cute Mothers Day gift for the kids to give to their mom's.  Dane got his picture taken with a cute sign that said Happy Mothers Day, a flower and a pretty picture that he drew!  Seriously melted my heart!  I have the cutest little monkey EVER and I wouldn't trade being a mom for a thing.  Thanks Brent & Dane for making the day so special to me!!

Easter 2012

We had the opportunity to go home for Easter!  We had such a great time getting to see our family.  Dane had a chance to go on egg hunts but for some reason his interest was the swings.  Maybe next year!!

St. George

A few weeks ago we had the chance to get away and go to St. George with my mom, Steve, my cousin Jana and her kids! We had such a great time, the weather was perfect in the 70's. Our trip consisted of playing in the back yard, golfing, relaxing, massages, miniature golf, cutting and coloring hair, go cart racing, shopping & daily Sonic runs!!
Dane had such a great time playing with my cousins kids and he loved being with his Gram & Papa Steve! (Doesn't he look like a true farmer sitting on the lawn mower with a sucker stick hanging out of his mouth? Silly boy!)
Can't wait to go back at the end of May!!

Spring has sprung!

We have been so excited for Spring. We have our tulips coming up and we have been spending a lot of our days outside playing!

A few silly's...

Dane is always making us laugh...
Couldn't stop laughing once he found that his finger fits up his nose!
ROCKET MAN!! He loves to help me with the laundry.
Um yes I have a slight obsession with Vanilla Diet Coke from Sonic and it seems that it has rubbed off on Dane. In this picture he would take and drink and then look at me and go "AHHHH"!
LOVES putting on Brent's shoes and walking around the house. He is getting pretty good at it!
He is just learning something new everyday and seems to be talking more and more too!! Cute monkey.

St. Pattys

This has been the first year that we have probably celebrated St. Patrick's Day. We didn't do anything too exciting except made sure to wear green and started the day off with Lucky Charms! Dane loved them!!

Pillows

When we went to Island Park a few months ago us girls came up with the idea to make pillows while the boys were out snowmobiling! We had such a great time and who knew it was so easy. The first few were a trick but after that we got it down to an art and I just LOVE how they turned out! Goes perfect with my spring decor. Thanks LeeAnn for teaching me and giving me the confidence of sewing. Hopefully more projects will spark my interest.

40 mins of FREEDOM!

Note to self: hide an extra key because 18 month olds know how to lock the doors! (Not just turn the knob lock...deadbolt lock!)
Yes, its true. Dane locked me out of the house yesterday. I went out to the garage to throw some trash away and I closed the door behind me because I was going to be a second. Well I tried to go back in and he had dead bolted the door! AWESOME...and every other door was locked too. Luckily it was 5:30 so I knew Brent would be heading home soon. I was down stairs just a few mins earlier and have opened the window and I didn't think that I had locked it...WRONG! I found that it was locked. I went over to my neighbors to see if the hubby was home because he works search and rescue and he was at work. His daughter came and helped me check to see if all the windows were locked and what not. (Mean while Dane was sitting on the couch drinking his juice and watching Mega Mind.) Well, Mac had her activity card with her and had got the front doors bottom lock unlocked and Dane was standing at the window watching the whole time. She was kind of playing a game with him because she would stick her card in and he would try to pull on it. He would look at us through the window and put his hands in the air like "Why are you out there? I don't know what to do." After a few minutes of convincing Dane to unlock the deadbolt he did it! I can't believe that he did it! My smart little monkey! Then Brent showed up 2 mins after that. Haha to say the least we learned our lesson. Just glad that Brent wasn't out of town. Thanks to our nice neighbors for their help!!

Uncle Clinto

Last week Uncle Clint got to come see us for an evening and we were SOOOO excited! It had been 6 months since we have seen him so I was curious how fast Dane would warm up. Well he surprised us all and he LOVED him! We went to dinner and Dane was so dang cute I just loved it. Made me wish we lived closer to them. Dane enjoyed being chased after and wrestled around with. Thanks for the quick visit and can't wait to see you guys soon!!! Love--Daners

18 Months

Weight: 28.7 Lbs. (92%)
Height: 35 1/2 Inches Tall (99th%)

Dane is such a ROCK STAR and I'm so proud of him! We took him to his 18 month check up and he had to only get 1 shot (thank goodness) and he only cried for 2 seconds! The doctor couldn't believe how tall and big Dane is. He asked if Brent was tall and my respond was well he is average but I think he is going to take place after his Uncle Clint!!

I just love him more and more every day. He is getting to the fun stage where he is constantly making us laugh! One funny story that happened the other day--I made some cookies and I caught him reaching his little paw up on the counter and reaching around until he found the plate of cookies then helped himself! I laughed it off. Well the next day we get up and he had his breakfast and then goes into the living room and then came back into the kitchen with a cookie in his hand. Apparently he had a stash of cookies under the couch because we clean the living room before his bed time! Little cookie monster!! He is getting so tall that I have to make sure things are pushed back far on the counter.

A few things that Dane loves--
Cars (the movie)
Van Halen's song - Jump
ride and drive Brent's pickup
M&M's & Maple Bars
Orange Gatorade
doing EVERYTHING himself
being with kids his age
brings me books to read them to him
ELMO
music
constantly jabbering to me...working on words
watching cartoons in mom & dad's bed (a kid after my own heart)

Island Park

A few weeks ago we got to escape off to Island Park with Brent's family! We had such a good time and Brent was able to take a few extra days off.
We made sure to bring the movies and LOTS of treats since it was a 6 hour trip! (We didn't have to turn on the movie until we were about 3 hours into the trip. Which was better than what I expected. Dane is a really good traveler. Next trip we need to plan is PASCO!!) We stopped in Idaho Falls for a few hours to have lunch with Ry & Barb (which was so good to see them ) and let Dane get his wiggles out!
Dane was the only grand kid up there so he got a lot of attention from everyone. His favorite was to go into Grandma and Grandpa's room and turn on tv and watch it in their bed! We also went swimming, played ping pong & racquetball. We also made sure to get lots of game time, sewing pillows & good food in too.
Dane had such a fun time playing in the snow. My sis in law Joni got him a sled for Christmas so we finally got to use it. It was really his first time playing in the snow and LOVED it! He would drag his hand in the snow and then eat the snow off his glove.
